A great start to the day, with a little fog and cloud cover to kick things off. An expected hot / humid day of around 30 degrees was anticipated by most, but the gentle cool breeze made for a very pleasant day for golf.
Another great turn out for today’s game with probably the best turn out for the year so far, with 86 players, (71 men and 15 ladies) hitting off today. I imagine with all the rain over the last 2 weeks, most players were happy to finely just get a game in. I know personally, that today was my first hit out since the very wet game (partial game for me at least) 2 weeks ago in Toowoomba. Even though some congestion on the tee’s were experience throughout the day, I think we all did well to get all 86 players finished in just over 5 hours.
The Course was in very good shape with the Greens and fairways in excellent condition from the recent rain. There was the occasional area on some fairways that was still quite muddy, but most player were not unduly affected by any wet areas. Except maybe from the heavy dew on the grass for the first 5 or 6 holes, until the sun started to dry thing out.
Congratulations to all winners.

Photos: Yes, I did remember to take some this week. Also, I would like to thank Chris Mayo for his contribution with the last 3 photos.
1. A family affair? Is that Ted and Shiela with Graham and Janet, or have they swapped partners?
2. Our president giving me the finger, or is that a thumbs up after finally sinking a putt?
3. Sel looking very confident with this tee shot set up to the short par 3.
4. Who’s is this mystery man? Thought I should keep his identity a mystery after he missed his real putt. I captured this re-enactment where our mystery man (Mark Callander – Oops identify revealed) sunk his ball easily. Why didn’t you do that the first time Mark?
5. Ladies day out. Caught this group catching up on all the gossip in the shade whilst waiting for their turn to tee off.
Photos from Chris:
6. John Comp look quite smug with himself. I thought from the photo he must have been having a good game. Then I saw his submitted scored card!
7. Leanne looking very confident over this putt. See John this is how it is done?
8. Magic making sure that he lines up his putt correctly. Can’t see the hole, so I wonder if he got it?
