We had 55 players registered to start, but due to a close family tragedy for one of our starting groups over the weekend, and perhaps rising fuel prices, we eventually only had 48 starters.
Our condolences to our member(s) affected by the loss of a loved one. On behalf of everyone and the Associations we will contacting the family to formally express our condolence and sorrow for their loss.
On a lighter note, a good day was had by all, with some good golfing and great food provided by the ladies of the Esk G.C. Thank you to everyone at Esk for your gracious support.
Congratulations to all the winners and runner up. It was an especially good day for members of the committee.
With 4 (Doug, Cameron, Monty and myself) of the 8 winners/runner-up’s winning prizes being committee members. Not to be outdone, two committee members (1 = Doug Walsh also returning the best score of the day) also won a prize in the lucky number draw. The 2nd being Neale Porter who also won the Jackpot Members Draw (sorry Neale – only $25 as the Jackpot also went off last week in Toowoomba) and a Ball in the run down.
Not to be out done, our last 2 committee members present on the day, Pam Lane and Chris Mayo, also won a Ball in the run down. Perhaps about now I should not mention that Monty and I, also won NTP shot prizes. Moving on quickly………
