A partly cloudy, but mostly sunny, day with a temperature reaching 31 degrees and as is shown above, every opportunity was taken to use the shade so plentiful around the Course.
The field finished up at 80 (56men and 24 ladies). Of these, eight were members renewing membership and one was a new member. Even with this big field, play moved reasonably well except for the second Tee which can slow play even with a much smaller field.
The Course was in great shape no doubt helped by the recent rain which had the dam levels in good shape for the coming months. The Greens had good consistent coverage and gave a consistently even roll.
The Lowood ladies had the Urn on and the cups laid out, and after play, lunch was a choice from two salad dishes.
All winners had creditable 38 points today with narrow margins to the . runner’s up. Also there was better scoring all round, and the ball rundown went to 33. By a look at the number of names on the Pin Shot sheets, many hopes were shattered by later players.

Photos:
1. A common sight around the Course today.
2. Not the first time today that Gerry had to take a close look at the destination of his Tee shot.
3. New player, Liz Kelly, was another who made sure she knew where her next shot would be played from.
4. A rare opportunity to get a photo of a Lapwing chick without having to ward of a parent.
5. Winners are grinners, but so are the other two in this cheery trio.
The next game is at Esk on Monday 28th February. It will be an 8.30am Shotgun start. The Timesheet is available at Rosewood Golf Club. The Timesheet for the Gailes game on the 7th of March is also available.
