There was a similar weather report to the one last week but this time the game was completed in dry conditions and the only rain experienced was a shower or two by the late leavers on the way home.
The roll-up was 84 (70 men and 14 ladies) and was manageable because players kept the field flowing, even though the second hole saw a few of the usual hold-ups experienced on this part of the Course.
The Course has really responded to the favourable weather conditions and was in even better condition than at the last game here. The Greens were well prepared and gave a very true roll.
There was plenty of socialising before the game over a tea or coffee and the new lunch menu offerings went down well with members, especially the sweets.
Seven scores in the 40’s today with Angelo Elape and Ernie Lee winning with 45 and 44 points respectively. Angie Arumugam led the Ladies with a 38. The Pin Shot on the 5/14th hole wasn’t that easy today with all winning distances over 3 metres.
Photos.
1. After the recent rain, the Course was a picture.
2. From where he was, this shot took some planning.
3. Even in the Rough, this smooth swing didn’t change.
4. The conversation paused for just a moment for a photo.
5. Angelo’s first trophy and he’s obviously quite pleased with it.
The next game is at Ipswich City on Monday 6th November. It will be an 8.30am Shotgun start. The Timesheets for this game and for Closing Day at Rosewood on Monday 20th November are both now available at Rosewood.
