It began as a fine clear day with few clouds which increased as the day progressed, and the wind increased in strength.
The field finished up the same number as last game, 47, but with two additional men and two fewer ladies, (41 men and 6 ladies). All those who required a buggy were able to get one.
The lack of rain across the whole District is evident here also. While the Course continues to brown off, there is still good grass cover, and the Preferred Lie ruling allowed every chance of a good shot. The Greens are coming along excellently with the attention the volunteers are giving them.
Glenda had limited assistance today but the snacks on arrival were again put out, and the lunch after the game was, as usual, ready when players arrived back in the Clubhouse. Thanks Glenda and Luke.
Janine Hauser was the clear-cut Ladies winner with 36 points, but both Men’s Divisions required countbacks. In Division 1, Miguel Cufi’s 37 won a 3-way countback to get the trophy, while in Division 2, it was only a single 36 point countback for Des Davies to edge out in form local player Bernie Moore. Janine Hauser made sure of the Ladies Approach on Hole 4 by chipping in for her birdie.

1. Jeff took his time setting up for this Tee shot, and it paid off.
2. Janet had this shot on the same hole when her ball decided to find its own way. She played a great recovery shot though.
The next game is at Toowoomba City on Monday 25th September. It is an 8.30am Shotgun start. The Timesheet is available at Rosewood Golf Club. The cancelled game at Lowood on 9th October will now be played at Togooloowah. There are limited Buggies available but the Club is seeking the assistance of members to get extras. Ossie is taking bookings for Buggies for those without one and who need one.
