What a beautiful day. After our last planned game at Esk on the 2nd June was washed out and cancelled due to all the recent rain at the time, it was good to get back to Esk and support this small regional club.
Although the field was slightly smaller than usual with a few members attending the funeral of founding member Ron Plfugraph, we still had a field of 54 (43 men, 11 Ladies) start today.
The Green’s were hard and undulating, so some local knowledge was advantageous as shown in some of the returned scores today.
Congratulations to all winners.
I know I struggled a bit today and gave up and returned to the club house playing just 17 holes. My excuse was I had to get a head start on “filling in” for the Captain, but in reality, any points I may have got by playing the last hole would not have made any difference.
Just ask my playing partners. As Brad can attest, don’t upset me. See Image Galley
Photo’s
- Brad holding his eye after I hit him in the head (accidently of course), with Monty holding his knee after I stabbed him with the flagpole. Again, just an “accident” Brad! Wayne saw the funny side at least.
- Even the wildlife was having a laugh!
- Brad! Too soon. Yep! (Those who have seen the Ad will get the reference).
