Warm clothes needed by most at the start of play were soon discarded as play got under way with a very comfortable fine day following.

The field 50 (41 men and 9 ladies) was again a number which seems to be about as big as it’s going to be in the near future.

Like the other Courses we have played over the last few months, this one was well grassed, but preferred lie was implemented to ensure the maximum chance of enjoyment by players who finished with an unfair lie.

The tea, coffee and biscuits went down particularly well today and the Hamburgers available for lunch were ordered by a good number.

The Division 2 winners, Chris Mayo and Doug Walsh had 39 points, the best scores of the day with Shirley Morgan winning the Ladies trophy and Ray McLeod taking Division 1 on countback.
