Event 2 – Sandy Gallop

It was far short of the near 40 degrees of last year and with plenty of cloud cover during the day, the playing conditions were very good for this time of the year.

The field today was 108 (86 men and 22 ladies). Of these 20 were returning and 4 were new members. Paul Brennan and his team had the cards printed and this helped to speed up the dispersal of members.

The Course had plenty of grass cover and the Greens were in top shape and most were very slick.

The hamburger lunch was so well received that one member had to resort to sandwiches when the large supply ran out.

The round of the day was 40 by Roger Cromarty, no doubt aided by the trick shot of Angelo Elape out of the bunker on the first. Angie Arumugam was not far behind with a return to the Vets 38. Glen Kermond led in Division 2 with 34. No Pin Shots again today but they will return at Lowood next week.

2. Angelo’s boomerang ball returns after its near perilous journey into the school grounds.

3.This Tee shot from the fourth Tee wasn’t supposed to finish on the left of the sixth fairway.

4. Three out of four in the water on the third hole caused some rethinking about the next shots.

5. Just relaxing before both scoring 33 points for the day’s efforts.

The next game is at Lowood on Monday 8th February. It will be an 8.30am Shotgun start. The Timesheet is now out.
