Event 16 Esk

The forecast – Partly cloudy with afternoon showers, most likely in the late afternoon. What eventuated! The day had no sun whatever and because of this, it remained very cool for most of the day.

The field finished up at 47 (39 men and 8 ladies). Three visitors were included in this number, one from Caboolture and two from Woodford.

With only limited recent rain, the Course had browned off, but the grass cover remained throughout the whole nine holes. The work done on the Greens has paid dividends and they were well grassed as well.

Two scone choices with jam and cream supplemented our arrival Tea and Coffee, and after the game the generous salad lunch was topped off with plum pudding sweets. Thanks ladies.

Not as much local success today as last week at Sandy Gallop, but the locals still took three of the four men’s trophies. Roger Cromarty (37) and Bernie Moore (35) were the men’s winners and Lyn Baker (37) took the ladies trophy.

Photos:

1. Let’s hope that the local birds haven’t been trained to check players score cards here.

2. Could Neale really see that yellow ball with those glasses on?

3. Two players who had just scored well on the previous hole.

4. Brett wanted to be very near the Green with this shot.

5. Lyn needed this long curling putt on the 4th for a birdie to win the day, and she got it.

The next game is at Rosewood on Monday 17th July. It is now an 8.30am Shotgun start. The Timesheet is available at Rosewood Golf Club.
