A cold day was predicted and so it resulted, with the temperature not getting above 11 degrees for most of the game. There was no rain, and the steady breeze should have benefitted the drying of the Course.
The field finished up at 59 (46 men and 13 ladies) with no new members or membership renewals. Play moved at an even pace throughout the day.
There was some concern that the Saturday rain could prevent play but the Course was in slightly better condition than at the last game a month ago. All players adhered to the conditions for buggy play and caused no damage to the Fairways. The Greens had not completely dried out, but even so, they proved true and manageable when their speed was worked out.
The Tea/Coffee and biscuits available on arrival was much appreciated by all and the two hot lunch menu dishes proved very tasty.
Nev Halls and Mary Smith did not need countbacks to claim their trophies, but all the others had needed one, with a couple going back to the last three holes for a result. Bruce Thorogood picked up a Pinshot for the second game in a row.

1. A check of the face confirmed that this was Bob Heathwood playing the shot.
2. Chris stayed warm enough to get the Runner-up trophy.
3. Di made the best of this lie after she just missed the bunker on the 9th.
4. Jim was disappointed when this shot found the bunker on the 3rd.
5. The girls had a good time chatting and congratulating Mary on her win.
The next game is at Rosewood on Monday 18th July. It will be a 9.00am Shotgun start because we are hosting Woodford. The Timesheet is available at Rosewood Golf Club.
