Event 12 – Lowood

Another ideal Winter’s Day with the minimum of breezes and a temperature in the low 20’s.

The field finished up at 68(44men and 24 ladies), 20 fewer than our earlier game, 22 of whom were men. It was pleasing to have over 20 ladies for the first time in quite a while. Included was one new male member.

The Course was in top condition with the usual high level of maintenance. The Greens were once again a pleasure to putt on.

Players were looking forward to the home-made Pikelets and they were not disappointed, and the effort put into the hot lunches by the ladies was very much appreciated.

Captain Bob was ecstatic with his long-awaited win with the highest score of the day, and new member, Doug Walsh, had his second win in a row. Welcome back Gertie after the Ladies pennants, especially since you led the Ladies today with your 37 points.

Photos.

1. This was taken before they putted on the 5th hole to make sure they were captured smiling.

2. Stan got a great shot away over the water.

3. Jim took his time about his shot and did the same.

4. Ernie swings so much better after that knee operation.

The next game is at Woodford on Monday 7th May. It will be a 9.00am Shotgun start. The Nomination sheet is available at Rosewood Golf Club.
