Event 13 – Gatton

Due to the unfortunate cancellation of last week’s game at Esk, and that coupled will a number of public holiday and the nuances of the programme, we have had less than a handful of games in the last couple of months.  In fact, I think is still felt like summer the last time we played.  Summer it WAS NOT TODAY!   The day started a little chilly (around 10C), but as that wind got up later in the morning, I think the WIND CHILL factor seemed to make the last few holes feel colder than when we started.  Anyone see the sun today?

Despite the conditions today we had an excellent turnout with 72 players, (59 men and 13 ladies) hitting off today.  Yep, it was cold and windy, thus a normally reasonable score proved to be a winning score for most of the Divisions todays.  Congratulations to Shirley Morgan with hers score of 37 points.   This was an outstanding effort considering that she was the only person playing to or better than their Daily Handicap, and the fact the Men’s Divisions 1, 2 and 3 winners was no higher than 34 points,

Photos: No pictures today of any golfing activity, due to the potential blurry outcome of the photographs due to operator’s hands shaking due to the cold and windy conditions!!!!    If you brought that excuse, come and see me.  I have a harbour bridge for sale!

All 4 photos today are of really relieved members having finished their round and are back in the club house: warming up.
