The early travellers experienced some heavy fog areas but at the Course the air was crystal clear and the perfectly fine Autumn Day made conditions the very reverse of the same day last year.
With initial nominations sitting at just under 90, it was disappointing that circumstances dictated that it would end up as 69(62 Men and 7 Ladies). Of these was one new member.
As expected, the Course was in top condition with the rain to date making the grass throughout very lush and a hinderance to much run on the Fairways. The Greens as ever a real challenge, especially as the Pin placements from the weekend provided another challenge to face.
The Tea/Coffee restrictions still in place was overcome by the provision of extra Bar staff to serve members. The lunch offerings were great as usual.
The higher handicaps were welcomed by all, but they proved inadequate to ensure a really good score. However, Angie Arumugam, Miguel Cufi and Bill Naoum did just enough to come home winners. Even the Lucky numbers had a bad day, with those with low numbers starting to wonder if they were even in the bag.

1. Errol shows the appreciation of members for the Bar service.
2. They’re all so eager to start play rather than to listen to too many announcements.
3. Quite a challenge Keith, from here on the 17th to the 16th Green.
4. Not the shot I intended, but oh to have a backswing like this one of Pauline’s.
5. All smiles about the lunch about to arrive and not the achievements out on the Course.
The next game is an 8.30am Shotgun start at Gatton on the 24th May. The Timesheet is available at Rosewood.
