We had 70 players start, which included 2 renewing members from last year, and 1 visitor from the Harvey Bay Vets Association: Ian Eiman. Welcome Ian and all.
Today 60% (42/70) of you successfully uploaded your scores using the GA App on your phone.
Well done, everyone. I did notice a couple of people having a few “weird” issues with their phones, but thankfully we were able to sort those issues out. We are always learning with this new GA App, and some of the lessons learnt this time round, include:
- Perhaps best NOT to record your ‘Markers’ score at the moment. Just your own, especially on ‘android’ phones. Just search for your Markers name at the end and get them to Attest your score. PS: The GA App does not upload the Marker element from your phone to the web anyway. So, save yourself the time.
- We also believe that the way the App appears on ‘android’ phones may be causing a problem or two. At the end of the round, the App asked ‘android’ users to “Confirm score and Close” up the top right corner. However, apparently (as I am an iPhone user), you need to press the “Save” button at the BOTTOM of the screen, BEFORE Closing the App.
Hopefully, GA will sort all their ‘bugs’ out soon and “formally” announce the release and use off their scoring App on all phone types (Android phones seem to be GA concerns at the moment.)

Overall-Result. Combined Mens and Ladies
Lucky “Members Draw” winner this week is – Charles Laffan. Unfortunately, Charles did not play today and was not present at the draw. So, the good news for the rest of us is that the members prize will now JACKPOT to $150 for the next game.
