We had 70 players start, which included 10 renewing members from last year, and 1 new member: welcome Alan Wright.
Unfortunately, we had 1 member unable to finish his round. However, of the 69 who complete their round, 50 of you successfully uploaded your scores using the GA App on your phone.
Well done everyone. That’s over 72%.
When we started on the opening day, we got 35% phone usage, with the subsequent games leading up to yesterday, averaging in the low 50% phone usage. That still a good result, but yesterday’s result was excellent.
Yours truly, is still struggling to work through some the intricates and bug’s of the new GA Connect and GA App software systems, for which I apologies for any confusions on the day.
However, the GA Support Team has been helpful in resolving some of the erroneous error that I see in the background after each event. I usually get them resolved within 24 hours.
That said, some of you (about 3) who registered for the event on the start sheet but did not play yesterday will see on your GA Handicap listing a score stating, “No Score – Approved” at Ipswich GC. Even though you did not play, when I generated all the scorecards around 30 minutes before play yesterday, the “GA System” still process the score I generated for you as “No Score – Approved”. Unfortunately, I cannot delete this from the GA Handicap System. Maybe, GA will be able to fix this “bug” in the future.
The good news though is that the “No Score – Approved” score DOES NOT impact on your handicap, nor does it count as one of your last 20 rounds for handicap calculation purposes.

Monday’s lucky Member Draw was number – Frank Emblem. Sorry for Frank not being there, but the good news for others is that the members prize will now JACKPOT to $125 for the next game.
