Event 9 – Toogoolawah

A great start to the day.  Perfect temperature for golf.  A nice 19/20 degrees with an early morning breeze, that was a little variable at the start but settled nicely.

Thanks to ALL the team at Toogoolawah Golf Club for your wonderful morning cake, nibbles and tea/coffee to start the day.   The course was in great condition, though the greens were challenging at times (or was that just me).   Thanks also to the kitchen staff; Burger and desert for $10 – great value.

A good turnout for Toogoolawah with 41 players, (32 men and 9 ladies) hitting off today.  This was better than last year, and hopefully we can better this number next year if we can avoid schedule conflict with this event at the same time as the Rosewood 50+ competition that occurred today.

Congratulations to Bob Marshall with his score of 37 points.   This was an outstanding effort considering the next best score was only 33 points.

Photos: Sorry, forgot to take any photos today.   Thank God for Chris Mayo.   See 3 photos from Chris’s group today.

1. Bob and Wayne discuss tactics.

2. Geoff considers the pond or OB?   Perhaps it was a tree that finally won?   The tree was my best friend (not) today.

3.  Bob and Wayne back at the club house.  Not sure if Wayne is still onboard with tactics discussed earlier?
