After the very heavy storm last night, and the prediction of a possible follow-up today, we, and the Club, were thankful that it didn’t eventuate and only late in the Round did the humidity begin to cause some discomfort.

The field was 100 (83 men and 17 ladies) thanks to the support that the IDVGA members again provided for this Annual event.

Considering the rain which fell on the Course, it was in very playable condition, but the Preferred Lie had to be used in the wetter areas. The Greens were true but care was needed on those which still had not dried out.

Paul Mahoney won Division 1 with 41 points from Dennis Hooper and Graham Johnson after a three-way countback. Ivan Henry and Di Stanley had one point wins in their Divisions. The entertainment of the day was provided by Chris Lawson with his Drone flying demonstrations.

The next IDVGA game is at Lowood on Monday 29th October. It is an 8.30am Shotgun start.
