Event 13 – Woodford

The drive up to Woodford was fairly straight forward except for the Roadworks late in the Journey. The breeze resulted in variable temperatures from time to time, but it was fine and very comfortable for most of the day.

Only 26 players (24 men and 2 ladies) made the trip, and the fate of future Woodford games will be decided later in the year. The Pumicestone players were good hosts and made us feel very welcome.

Despite the recent rain, the Course while still recovering, was in top condition with only a couple Bunkers out of play. The Greens were playing true and were very manageable when their speed was correctly read.

The usual Tea, Coffee and Biscuits were supplemented by some other tasty small cakes. The Burger selection after the game catered for all needs.

No trophies won by our members today. Bill Naoum, Pam Lane and Allan Mc Neill all won Pin Shots. The remaining players benefitted from the Pumicestone District generous policy on Rundown balls.

Photos. None taken today.

The next Home game is an 8.30am Shotgun start at Boonah on Monday 27th June.
